Ok, back to this, yet again. I expected it to be hard to find insurance, flights, tours, but busses were probably the last thing I expected to have trouble with. I’ve probably spent an entire day all together so far figuring out this bus situation and here’s what I’ve found:

Finding Busses Are a Pain and Visas are Expensive
As I’m sure you saw in our itinerary, once we’re done with Machu Picchu, we’ll be flying to Iguaza falls and then we’ll be taking buses for every leg between there and when we depart Buenos Aires for Delhi. So, we need to find the following bus routes:

Pre-Thailand Trip (RTW 1.0) is Booked!
It took a couple full days, a lot of playing around with our itineraries, all of the airline miles that we’ve been saving, and a couple of angry phone calls to Cheap Tickets, but we’re finally pretty much all set with the two month trip we’re taking before moving to Thailand, and all I have to say is that it’s going to be AWESOME.
Are We Crazy?
Dave always asks me if I think people will think we’re crazy for not wanting to settle down and for always being on the go… In my opinion, why wouldn’t we keep trying new things and new places until we find somewhere or something that makes us completely satisfied? If we didn’t, yes we’d be settling down (which I know is what the majority of people want to do), but we’d also just be settling. Work is the thing that takes up the majority of everyone’s time in life, so don’t we owe ourselves at least a year to not only do something we know we’ll love, but also to figure out a way to turn the things we love to do most in life (in our case travel) into something that could be a career for us? I think we do and I think that is going to be exactly what this year is for Dave and me.
I know it’s scary, but I think that this is going to be the best thing that ever happened to us (aside from finding each other, of course)!
